Fooling Around In Ft. Wayne
Don't fiddle with the camera settings when a train is bearing down on you! |

| Here is genius at work. We caught this guy coming at us in Payne, Ohio making over 55 mph. The elevator in background would have made for a nice wide angle shot. However, the camera was set for single shot so I changed it to continuous after the top shot. Then I was trying to get the zoom back out to the wide angle. The two shots here are all I got. I really like the MTV style angular composition of the lower shot. I think it really imparts a hurried, disorganized look that completely captures the mood of the moment. I think I'll title this one:
Doh! |

| When the roads are crummy, I usually drive as Erik's rental car is like a pair of roller skates on ice. As we caught up with the train again, I gave Erik the camera and I paced the front end. This is one of two shots he took out the window. If that damn relay box hadn't been there this would have been a nice shot. | ||||||||||||||
| Can't chase 55 mph trains through urban areas legally so when he pulled up to wait for a signal, I got these two shots and we headed home. Really crisp winter light. | ||||||||||||||
