This year there was a little planning and some good ideas.  Bill, Brian and I had some serious iron to display for the show.  Bill set up his 6hp Brantford, Brian brought his 9hp Model UA and I had my 6hp Model U, the 8hp Model U and the 1 1/2hp Model T. We also had the round rod Galloway, Titusville Olin, the Dieter and Peter Knight's beautiful 4hp Hornsby-Akroyd.  We had a couple canopies for shade and chairs for relaxing.  I made up some signs to describe each of the Hvids that we put by each engine.  It turned out to be a real nice display.  We had a darn busy four days!
The line up for the show.
As usual, we ran the engines a lot during the show. The Brantford and the 9hp ran like champs for hours on end.  I had trouble starting my 6hp and the 8hp was flat out a pain in the neck.  It ran away once and scared the hell out of us so that was it, we just left it for display. But there were plenty of other things happening for people to watch and talk about.
Brian's Olin awaiting the first start of the day.
Here's a nice shot of Brian's Olin.  It's a little fussy to start sometimes but once it's going it'll run all day.  That short stack is a bit noisy though.  Maybe next year we'll put a real one on it...maybe.
The Dieter and the rock crusher.
Bill had a great set-up with his 15hp Dieter and a rock crusher.  This was a real crowd pleaser as it makes the engine work a little and everyone gets to see the machines do what they were meant to do.
