They're out there!

One thing I noticed at the few engine shows I've been to is there aren't many Hvid types that show up.  They aren't particularly popular for various reasons.  One of the biggest is thay are indeed a pain in the butt to start. The other is that they are typically throttle governed which makes them less of a curiosity compared to the slow running hit & miss engine. However, they are long on the "Real Man" factor and it really impresses the ladies when you start one and it belches clouds of black smoke (Sure it does! Really!) Once I got interested I found that there just aren't many picutres out there to refer to. So I decide to put up a few pages as a single source site for Hvid type engines. To be sure, there are many Thermoils and their look-alikes as they are the most common but I've included my own St. Mary's and any other types I can find. Many photos have been graciously provided for use by others and credit is given for all photos that aren't mine.
